World of Warcraft Hunter Pets
WOW Hunter Pets
There are few classes in World of Warcraft universe that are able to control pets for shorter or longer periods of time, but one class has developed much deeper connection that others and this class is the Hunter.
The hunters not only summon and control their pets, but they feed them, heal them and are making sure their companions are happy. Hunters can also choose name for their pet, something no other class can do and even rename them from time to time if their pet deserves new and better name.
Before the Cataclysm Hunters had to be at least level 10 and complete several quest before they learn how to tame pets and use them as companions, but this is now changed and players can get their first pets much sooner. This is very good change because before the Hunters were struggling a bit being all alone until level 10 without their loyal pets on their side.
Hunter pets follow their master everywhere and level up as their master levels up creating a strong bond between the two of them that lasts forever.
Hunters can tame several pets but they can only have one pet active at a time. The currently non active pets are stored in Pet Stables and are taken care of until their master needs them.
On their adventures in Azeroth hunters meet many beasts which they can tame and make their pets. These beasts all have unique abilities so it is up to the hunter to decide which type of pet they can use at the moment. Some pets have excellent damage abilities; others can stun the enemy or charge in. Some pets can take a lot of damage because of their thick protective hide; others can provide haste, healing and other much needed buffs not only to the Hunter himself, but to his group or raid.
Who Else Wants to make Massive Amounts of Gold?
Hunter pets can be split into 3 general groups: Cunning, Ferocity and Tenacity pets.
Cunning: they have some cunning abilities such as Sonic Blast – 2sec stun (bats); Bad Manner – 4 sec Blind (monkeys); Web ( inability to move) – spiders and a lot more. Quite fun pets to have by your side because of their abilities to surprise the foe and help you crowd control better.
Ferocity: the pets from this group have excellent damage abilities and can provide additional strength and agility buffs to the group. Ferocity pets are pets such as cats, wolves, raptors, foxes, devilsaurs and more.
Tenacity: in this group players can find pets such as bears, turtles, boars, crocolisks, crabs and more. The pets in this group are able to take more damage that the pets in any of the 2 other groups and are quite nice for solo play when you have no tank with you to take the damage. Pets from this group also have some abilities which increase the damage taken from the foe and are always nice to have in your Stables if you are planning to solo play.
